It's Thursday again, which means it's the beginning of another three days of headlining standup performances at the Eastside's comedy clubs. This week we've got Godfrey at Parlor Live in Bellevue and Joe List at Kirkland's Laughs Comedy Spot.

If you’re not a fan, you certainly recognize Godfrey from his early ‘00s stint as the 7UP guy, or his appearances in film and television shows like Zoolander, Black Dynamite or Louie (though this writer remembers him best as the first host of HBO’s DIY filmmaking series 30x30: Kid Flicks).

But don’t let Godfrey’s talent for moving carbonated sugar beverages fool you: He began his career warming up audiences for The Cosby Show and he’s a regular at the legendary Comedy Cellar in New York City. He has two hour specials, Godspeed and Black by Accident, that have been released  by Comedy Central.

Godfrey will perform at Parlor Live in Bellevue for five performances Nov. 12-14. Look for times and tickets here.

Joe List

Comedian Joe List hit Boston stages right out of high school, in 2000. He became a well-regarded fixture on the Boston and New York comedy scenes with his personal jokes about his (formerly) debilitating anxiety.

But, until recently, List wasn't getting recognized by wider audiences. That changed last year when he appeared on Late Show With David Letterman. This year, he made it to the semi-finals of Last Comic Standing and he's appeared in more headlining gigs around the country.

Joe List will perform at Laughs Comedy Spot for five performances Nov. 12-14. Look for times and tickets here.
