Author, poet, and screenwriter Sherman Alexie — who connects readers to the American Indian experience — will speak on his newest topic, Security, Sovereignty, Selfishness: How to be a 21st Century American Nomad.

The event will begin at 8 p.m., Feb. 25 at the Kirkland Performance Center, 350 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland.
