The Sammamish Symphony will present “Romantic Exotica” at 7:30 p.m. on April 27 at the Theatre atMeydenbauer, 11100 N.E. 6th St. in Bellevue.

Four composers will evoke lands and eras other than their own in this program.

Johann Strauss, Jr. demonstrates his flair for writing music in his “Egyptian March.” Camille Saint-Saëns’gifts for beguiling melodies and rich orchestration are displayed in the Bacchanale from his opera “Samsonand Delilah.” Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work, the grand symphonic poem “Scheherazade”,caps this musical voyage to distant realms and times.

Flutist Sandra Saathoff is the soloist in Franz Doppler’s “Fantaisie Pastorale Hongroise.”
